Looks like Facebook messed up and let some user data get taken. Whoops!
If you were a Facebook user between May 24, 2007, and December 22, 2022, you’re entitled to compensation.
If you qualify, you have 4 options:
Submit a claim. This means joining the class action lawsuit, and agreeing to take the settlement.
Opt-Out of the settlement. This means you do not join the class action, but you retain the right to hire your own lawyer and sue Facebook in a separate suit.
Object to the claim. Stay with the class action, but object to the settlement already reached against Facebook.
Do nothing. Get no money. Lose the right to sue later. Probably the worst idea.
