It was the first Bitcoin transaction with real world value attached.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">This day is celebrated because it created a floor price for Bitcoin, and established Bitcoin as an asset with real economic value.  Before this day Bitcoin was just a fun project for developers, but ever since Bitcoin has had purchasing power and an exchange rate with US dollars and other global currencies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\">We are celebrating this day in history by having a pizza party at <a href=\"https:\/\/rotolos.com\/locations\/shreveport\/\">Rotolo&#8217;s Craft and Crust<\/a>.
